ROB CROSOLI - DIRECTOR OF VIP SERVICES

WHAT IS YOUR ROLE AT E11EVEN?

I am the Director of VIP Services for E11EVEN MIAMI.  I've been fortunate enough to experience the journey of our brand since before we opened our doors back in February 2014 and been a part of the family since August 2003.

WHAT DO YOU ENJOY MOST ABOUT YOUR POSITION?

It's really hard to pin just one specific thing that I enjoy the most about my position but I really do love working alongside the entire E11EVEN family. In particular, I especially enjoy working with and developing our host team. I know sometimes I come off a bit hard, but the truth is that I care a great deal about each one of them. I remember, throughout my career, all I wanted was for someone to give me the time and insight as how to grow and get to the next level in this business. I try to make sure each host gets that opportunity whether directly or indirectly through me. I'm truly proud when a member of the team finds themselves achieving new levels in their career.

WHAT IS YOUR BEST E11EVEN STORY OR MEMORY?

There are so many stories and memories that run through my mind when you ask me that question, many of which I'm not at liberty to speak of! (laughing) I guess a moment(s) that really get me is when the club is so busy that there is just as many people outside trying to get in as there is inside the building. As I'm running around all over the place, it almost seems like I haven't talked to someone in hours and then I will stop in my tracks and tune everything out for a few minutes just to look around in amazement in what we all came together to accomplish and think to myself "Man, this is a really sick f**king party!!!" Sometimes we really get caught up in the daily operation to truly appreciate what it is that we actually do, what's happening around us, and the creation that Dennis envisioned. It gives me goosebumps every time!!! If I had to choose a more specific time, it would probably have to be when I had the opportunity to meet, sit down and hang with one of my long time heroes, Derek Jeter.

WHEN YOU'RE NOT AT WORK, WE CAN FIND YOU...

When I'm not at work, I am very low key. To be honest, I'm usually just at home trying to catch up on all the sleep I don't get during my usual work week or watching movies of all types whether it's new releases in the theater to classic films from Hollywood's golden age. If I do go anywhere, I enjoy dinner with a few close friends or catching a baseball game or some sporting event. Back home (Chicago), I also loved going to see live rock, blues, or jazz music and/or concerts but we don't have much of that down in Miami.

WHO HAS BEEN THE BIGGEST INSPIRATION TO YOU THROUGHOUT YOUR CAREER?

When I think back on my career to this point, I've had several people that have truly impacted my career along the way. I can go on in detail about so many different wonderful people that gave me their time, insight, and helped carve the path to where I am now in this industry. However, there is nobody that has impacted my career more than the visionary and creator of E11EVEN MIAMI himself, Dennis Degori. I became part of the family in 2003 and my life has changed ever since. Although I was already a known industry veteran in the Chicago scene, I had a lot of growing pains because of the specific and particular way Dennis likes his clubs run. I quickly realized that I didn't know as much about club operations as I thought I did. It was a very humbling experience to say the least! (LOL) Through it all, Dennis always believed in me and stood behind me even when it seemed like not many people wanted to. Because of this, there were a lot of times I quietly wanted to give up or switch directions, but Dennis was always there, whether it was a chat, a call, or a text, that got my head back in the game, kept me motivated to push on and stick to my guns. If it wasn't for those moments, I wouldn't be at E11EVEN. After all these years, Dennis continues to look after me just as he always has and does whatever it takes to make sure his team is happy and live great lives. I've learned so much from him or because of him. Sometimes I even catch myself saying things verbatim that I know I've heard come out of his mouth before. I'm very fortunate that our relationship has strengthened since we opened E11EVEN. I can only hope that I can follow in his footsteps, helping our team achieve new heights. THANK YOU, DENNIS!!!

WHAT'S YOUR MIAMI MUST-DO FOR ANY WEEKEND VISITOR (ASIDE FROM COMING TO E11EVEN, OF COURSE)?

A must do when visiting Miami other than E11EVEN? Hmmm...well, I guess there really isn't a specific place that I tell someone they have to visit. I do enjoy taking friends and family to places like Monty's (SoBe or the Grove) or The Rusty Pelican right as the sunsets in Miami. I really always try to make sure that my visiting guests experience the real Miami as I continue to learn it and not just the idea that Miami is South Beach. There's so many great spots to experience from Coconut Grove to Wynwood and everywhere in between. It truly is an amazing city with such diverse culture and growth! I'm grateful to be living here.

WHO IS YOUR FAVORITE SUPERHERO AND WHY?

I've always been partial to BATMAN! Although Batman doesn't possess any real superpowers, he relies on his genius intellect, physical prowess, martial arts abilities, detective skills, science and technology, vast wealth, intimidation, and indomitable will. Knowing this, for some reason, I feel like Batman and I can relate. We both have 2 sides to us. By day, we both go about our daily business. He goes by Bruce Wayne and I go by Rob Crosoli. By night, he becomes The Dark Knight and fights crime while I become R.O.B. and throw parties! Bruce Wayne lives a certain lifestyle and being an "E11EVEN" is also a lifestyle. He drives a black car and so do I! He likes wearing all black clothes and so do I! He has a really cool belt and I have some nice belts too! I'm certain there are a few other similarities between us but I think you get the idea of what I'm saying here! LMAO!!!
